After a LOT of searching, I’ve discovered one shop in the city where you can buy all sorts of baking supplies in reasonable quantities for baking at home.
Arife Lamoulde, at Crawford Market in South Mumbai near CST Station, is a treasure chest. At first glance, it will seem like nothing more than a roadside store. But a closer look reveals that you can buy all sorts of moulds, icing decorations, flavorings, extracts, cutouts,etc from this one place. Everything you need to bake or make chocolates of any shape and size you can get here. They even have delights like edible cake glitter (manufactured by Wilton and imported/smuggled from the US, so its definitely trustworthy) that will make your dish super special.
This shop is located very close to the famous Baadshah restaurant. Its phone number is 9833706896. The exact address is: Shop No. 556, Crawford Market, Mumbai – 400001.
They also have a branch at Andheri, near the Paaneri Showroom, very close to the railway station. This shop is also pretty good but doesn’t compare to the Crawford Market store in terms of varieties of items available. The phone number for this branch is 02226711726. Just wanted to add my two cents. I’ve known the family personally who owns this business as my mom has been their customer since past many years now. The one at Crawford Market is the only genuine shop owned by the original founders of this business. The other so called branches at Bandra, Andheri, etc. have been opened by one of the second generation guys who probably had a mind of his own.
I can say one thing though, going by my personal experience, I would never do business with this guy in Andheri again. Pretty rude, arrogant fellow. Heard that he was involved in some fraudulent transactions at the store and stopped buying from him altogether, although that store was closer to where I live. I wouldn’t vouch for the quality of his stuff either. I still travel all the way to Crawford Mkt. Hope this helps!

Although i would not know the details, i can share my experience for the andheri branch. The staff there is not too co-operative specially the lady at the counter who seemed pretty rude. Twice i have had experience for over charging and when asked, instead of apologizing, she started fighting for the bill. I dont mind the mistake in charging but would definitely expect a better response! The rest of the staff are busy chatting amongst themselevs instead of attending to the customer and i had to go to the group each time with the product on which no prices were mentioned! Unfortunately this is the only one where i stay and have no option but to visit them. I doubt they have any care for customer satisfaction.
